‘Tis the season for delayed blogs due to general busyness and merriment. But alas, better late than never… right?

This is my first stab at creating a general gift guide, and to be completely transparent, it was a lot harder than I thought it would be! I don’t know if you’re familiar with book The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman, but my top love language is gift-giving.

(If you haven’t read the book, I strongly suggest it! It helps you understand how you show love versus how you receive love. Fun fact: I show love through Gift-Giving, but I feel more loved through Quality Time. Anyway, back to Christmassy stuff.)

Because of that, nearly every gift I give has waaaaaay too much thought put into it, so making a generic gift list was difficult! But nonetheless, here we are and I had a lot of fun getting input from friends about things they *hoped* to see under the tree this year!

Here we go!

GIFTS FOR HER:

American Eagle Sherpa Pullover - Ringing up at only $32 during their holiday sale, this oversized pullover is such a good gift option. It feels like you’re being hugged by a cloud, and I’m here for it. Andddd it also comes in 7 different colors!

Literally Me - For the girl who really appreciates some cheeky satirical humor. Author Julie Houts will make her laugh out loud with her culturally relevant pop-culture humor… and her illustrations are equally as hilarious.

Anthropologie Face Pot - I’ve been all but obsessing over this face pot from Anthropologie. Good news? I feel like it works with so many decor styles and functions. Wanna put a succulent in it? Go ahead. Rather have it catch loose change? It’ll hold all your coins most fashionably.

Polaroid Wireless Photo Printer - If she’s anything like me, she wants to get her pictures printed, but never gets around to it. However, I’ve found a solution! This small portable printer connects to your phone via WiFi, and allows you to print pictures instantly!

Amazon Huggie Earrings - The perfect stocking stuff that isn’t going to break the bank! These are great for both high and low maintenance ladies alike. Would she want an earring she can go out in, but also sleep in? You’ve found them. And they’re very on-trend for the season.

West Elm Heated Throw Blanket - but like, not the ones your granny used to have. The faux fur will keep her toes both toasty and bougie.

Chanel Perfume - No, not Chanel No. 5... At least not until she’s closer to 65 years old. Chanel has recently stepped up their fragrance game, and have a wide array of scents that range from fruity to more woodsy (the pink is my favorite). Plus, it’s a really inexpensive way to buy her something designer!

Cheeseboard and knife set - I’ve recently heard this referred to as the “adult purchase you want someone else to buy for you.” This is a great gift idea for someone who enjoys hosting… or for any gal who just loves her cheese. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t had a fancy charcuterie spread for dinner while wearing sweats and Netflixing. Balance.

Leather Work Back Pack - A few years ago, I gave Colin a leather backpack for his birthday, and I’m shocked by how much he likes it. He had shoulder bag before the backpack, but he felt like he struggled to keep it on his shoulder, and often had to use one hand to hold it up. The backpack works great because now he’s able to always have both hands free, as well as have the weight distributed equally on both sides. (He also wants me to add that he can Bird to and from work better with a backpack. LOL.)

Leather travel bag - I’m letting the cat out of the bag, I’m getting one for Colin this year. (Sorry for spoiling the surprise @Colin). This is a great gift option if he travels a good bit. Up until this point, we’ve shared a travel bag. So now I’m just getting him his own for the days he travels without me. It will definitely be nice to have a bag he can just grab and go that doesn’t have my travel deodorant and night cream in it.

Gucci Tights - Are these on the legs of everything influencer? Do I still want them? Yes. A little pricey for tights at $100, but SO CUTE.

Short Hunter Boots - I’ve never owned a pair of Hunter rain boots, even back in 2014 when I felt like every girl on Mississippi State’s campus had them. For whatever reason, I just never wanted a pair of the tall ones. This year though. This year is different. A short rain boot just seems SO DANG PRACTICAL for the Missouri snow. And the fact that it’s not the full height shaft makes putting them on / taking them off easy. That is all.

Mark and Graham Travel Case - Preferably, in the medium size. I feel like I often struggle with packing jewelry when traveling - between tangled necklaces, and lost earrings, I’m a mess. This is such a practical + cute solution that’s also customizable and comes in 10 different colors.
