Alright fam, let’s talk about the fun beauty box that Spa Secret sent me this week.

Spa Secret is a female-owned and run business based in the greater Philadelphia area. They offer a range of services, from organic airbrush spray tans to carrying eco-friendly products form leading brands in bath, body, and beauty. Spa Secret’s mission is that they believe that beautifying yourself holistically is an integral part of self-care, health, and healing.

They ONLY use non-toxic, 100% vegan products that are also cruelty-free, so you can feel confident in purchasing products + services from them.

Now, for what they sent me-

BlushTan Tanning Mitt

SUCH a soft mitt. When I first began self-tanning, I made the worst rookie mistake - I didn’t use any type of glove, and my hands would always end up SO TERRIBLE. After a few times, I realized that I needed to use some type of barrier, so I began using a latex glove… which is honestly no better. The latex gloves cause horrible streaks, especially on my legs. I wish I had known from the start of my self-tanning to use a legit tanning mitt. They are honestly life-saving. This one is also made from natural fibers - win, win, win.

BlushTan Exfoliating

Okay, this is a real game-changer if you’re a serial tanner. An exfoliating mitt allows you to easily remove remnants of old tanner before applying a new coat of self-tanner. After showering + soaping, use the exfoliating mitt to in a circular motion - starting with ankles + feet (which is what I’ve found to need the most love since those areas of your body absorb the most tanner). Because of the unique weave of the fabric, pressure isn’t required and the mitt isn’t painful. The mitt is also reusable, and lasts up to 6 months! Seriously, an exfoliating mitt is a must-have.

Luna Bronze Moisturizer

I'm realizing this blog is just going to be me sharing my recent onslaught of tanning knowledge lolz. To get the most out of your tan + increase its longevity, you need to use a moisturizer that isn’t heavily perfumed. Lotions that contain heavy perfumes will work against your tan, causing your tan to fade faster than it should. The Luna Bronze moisturizer is a good option because it’s lightly scented with mandarin, lemon myrtle, and orange blossom, and is the perfect weight for an everyday moisturizer that will extend the life of your tan rather than shorten it.

Beverly + 3rd Fireside Air and Linen Mist

The Fireside mist is a great air and linen mist for fall and winter. It smells like a mix of smoke and wood, and feels like you’re sitting by a crackling fireplace. Beverly + 3rd’s air and linen mists are formulated to eliminate odor while leaving behind a pleasant scent. Their products are made to order and individually labeled by hand. Since they are milky in color, they need to be shaken before each use since oil separation is normal. Their mists are also perfect for rooms, carpets, fabrics, and are gentle enough to be used as a body spray.

Beverly + 3rd Lavender Sage Perfume Oil

The Lavender Sage Perfume Oil is a herbal combination of french lavender and sage. It is made from fractionated coconut oil that is very light and easily absorbed into the skin. It has a smooth, non-greasy texture and is perfect for all skin types.

Spa Secret Make-Up Samples

In my box, I also received their in-house baked mineral bronzer and foundation. Like all of their other products, their make is vegan and cruelty-free. I liked how lightweight their products are, and they didn’t just sit on top of my skin. For everyday make-up, I don’t wear weighty products to keep a more au natural appearance, and their products are perfect for that.
