diy - valentine's day dessert board
It’s that time of year again! Whether you’re celebrating a festive Galentine’s with your girlfriends, a romantic day with your significant other, or a fun Valentine’s day with your kiddos, I’ve got fun recipes that work for any occasion!
Dessert Board
Much like a traditional charcuterie board, a dessert board can really be made of whatever you like! For this specific board, I’ve swapped out meats and cheeses for Valentine’s themed candies and cookies.
Here’s exactly what I used:
Strawberry and Yogurt Chex Mix
Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel Crisps
White Chocolate Ghirardelli Hearts
Strawberry Twizzlers
Russel Stover Peanut Butter Hearts
Milano Rasberry Chocolate Cookies
Creative Snacks Co. Strawberry Covered Pretzels
Lotus Biscoff Cookies
Fresh Raspberries
Fresh Strawberries
Hy-Vee’s White Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Valentine’s Day Themed Mocktails
Why? Because kids like fancy drinks too!
Strawberry Ice Cream Float
Similar to a traditional “coke-float”, but with a Valentine’s Day twist!
Here’s what I used:
Breyer’s Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream
Strawberry Twizzlers
Sunkist Strawberry Soda
Red Sprinkles
Redi-Whip
Rose and Raspberry Sherbet Mocktail
The fun thing about this drink? It can be both an adult beverage or kid-friendly! I used a non-alcoholic rose, but you could easily sub-in champagne or a true rose.
Here’s what I used:
Welch’s Sparkling Rose
Kemp’s Rasberry Sherbet
Fresh Raspberries
Want to know what else I love about all of this?? All of these items came from Hy-Vee. Easy as that. I love a quick and painless grocery trip.
Another cool thing? You can also order from Hy-Vee Aisles Online for a 2-hour pickup order - can it get any easier?) Click here to check out their hassle-free shopping for yourself!
